Floetry is Finally Back and Vegas Gets First Dibs
Let me tell you, I've been waiting for this moment since Obama was in office. Floetry – yes, THE Floetry with Marsha Ambrosius and Natalie “The Floacist” Stewart – is coming back to tour for the first time since 2016, and Vegas is getting one of their first stops. Saturday, May 16 at Resorts World Theatre, these queens are bringing their “Say Yes The Tour 2026” to our city, and I‘m not gonna lie, I already cleared my calendar.
For those who don’t know (and if you don't, we need to have a conversation), Floetry basically invented what we now call neo-soul poetry fusion. When “Say Yes” dropped in the early 2000s, it changed the whole game. These women took spoken word and made it sexy, vulnerable, and absolutely essential to R&B. Their platinum debut Floetic is still in heavy rotation on my playlist, real talk.
Sir Elton
The ultimate tribute to the amazing Elton John; the only all-Elton show in Las Vegas -- live at the piano.
The Lineup is Absolutely Stacked
Raheem DeVaughn and Teedra Moses are joining as special guests, which means this isn‘t just a concert – it’s a full soul experience. DeVaughn‘s been carrying the torch for conscious R&B romance for years, and Teedra Moses? That woman is an artist’s artist. Her Complex Simplicity album is still criminally underrated, but anyone with taste knows she's pure magic.
Tickets go on sale Friday, March 6 at 10 a.m. through AXS.com, and trust me when I say these will move fast. We're talking about artists who have seven Grammy nominations between them and haven't toured together in almost a decade. The pent-up demand is real.
Resorts World Theatre is the Perfect Venue
I've seen shows at the Resorts World Theatre, and the acoustics are insane. With over 200 L-Acoustics speakers and that L-ISA Immersive Hyperreal Sound technology, you're going to hear every whispered word and vocal run with crystal clarity. The 4,850-seat venue means it‘s intimate enough that even the back row feels connected – nobody’s sitting more than 150 feet from the stage.
They‘ve got VIP options if you want to do it up right, including luxury banquettes with cocktail service and private VIP lounges. For a show like this, where the artistry is in the details and the emotion, those premium seats might actually be worth it. That’s saying something coming from someone who usually thinks VIP is overpriced nonsense.
This is More Than Nostalgia
Real talk – this tour represents something bigger than just a reunion. Floetry helped normalize poetry as a lead voice in contemporary R&B, paving the way for artists who prioritize emotional truth and lyrical depth. In an era where a lot of music feels surface-level, having these women back on stage feels necessary.
I‘m calling it now: this show is going to be one of those “I was there” moments that people talk about for years. Get your tickets, dress up nice, and prepare to feel things you forgot you could feel. Vegas deserves this kind of artistry, and honestly, we’re lucky they chose us for this comeback tour.
