New Vista's Passport to Wine Kicks Off at Town Square Las Vegas

Sip Your Way Around the World at Town Square This Saturday

If you're looking for something genuinely fun to do this weekend that also does some good in the community, New Vista Nevada has put together an event worth clearing your Saturday night for. Their “Passport to Wine” series kicks off this Saturday, May 9th, from 5–9 p.m. at Town Square Las Vegas — and the concept is clever enough that it doesn‘t feel like your typical charity wine event.

Each guest gets a commemorative wine glass, tasting card, and a custom passport map to guide them through curated tasting stations inspired by wine regions around the world. You’re literally strolling the outdoor spaces of Town Square, collecting stamps (in a sense) as you move from one international “stop” to the next. It's a nice way to spend a warm May evening.

Tickets start at $50 online or $60 at the door — grab them in advance at newvistanv.org/events.

Who's Behind This — and Why It Matters

New Vista is Nevada‘s largest non-profit residential provider for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, which includes Down syndrome, autism spectrum disorder, and other related disabilities. They focus on supported living, vocational training, and community programs that give people real independence — not just a place to stay.

They’ll have an information booth on-site if you want to learn more about what they actually do. Worth a quick stop between wine stations.

The series has a second date too: Saturday, June 6th at UnCommons in southwest Las Vegas — a great venue pick, since UnCommons has that walkable, community-oriented vibe that suits an event like this perfectly.

VIP Is Worth It If You're Treating Yourself

For $100, the VIP ticket gets you access to an exclusive lounge plus premium tastings beyond what general admission covers. If you‘re going with a group or just want a more curated evening, it’s a solid upgrade. The event is 21+ across the board.

Town Square is one of those outdoor spots that genuinely comes alive on a weekend evening — open-air, easy to walk around, and with enough space that it never feels crowded even when it's busy. As a backdrop for a passport-themed wine crawl, it works really well.

Practical Details Before You Go

Both events run 5–9 p.m. so you've got plenty of time for dinner after (or before, honestly — wine on an empty stomach is a choice, not a strategy). Parking at Town Square is free and plentiful, which is always a nice bonus when you‘re heading somewhere for a few hours.

This Saturday’s event is less than a week away, so if you're interested, grab tickets online rather than risk the door price bump. It's a good excuse to get outside, try some new wines, and support an organization doing meaningful work here in the valley.
