Everything You Need to Know About the Pinball Hall of Fame

The Pinball Hall of Fame is a temple dedicated to all things pinball. It's located on Las Vegas Boulevard across the street from the Welcome to Vegas sign and has been open to the public since 2007. Here's what you need to know. [caption id="attachment_40199" align="aligncenter" width="800"]

Pinball Hall of Fame[/caption] The museum features hundreds of classic and modern pinball machines. There are pinball machines from the 50s through the 80s and some newer models. Each machine has a card with information, so you can see all the info you need to know at a glance.

the game machines[/caption] Most of the machines are playable. Visitors can play simple games for a quarter and the more complex games for $0.75 to $1. You can play pinball television-inspired pinball games like The Simpsons, Wheel of Fortune, Guardians of the Galaxy, Star Trek, and Spider-Man. Apart from pinball, you can also play classic video arcade games.

History of the Museum

The Pinball Museum was initially opened in 2006 at a rented storefront on Tropicana Avenue before it moved to its current location. It's a project of the Las Vegas Pinball collectors. Tim Arnold, an arcade operator from Michigan, moved to Las Vegas with 1,000 pinball machines, which he used to open the Pinball Hall of Fame. A team of volunteers from the club maintain the museum. All the proceeds from the museum go to charity. The museum is open at 10 a.m., closes at 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and goes an extra hour from Friday to Sunday.
