2. The Grand (2007)
While poker tends to feel very tense, requiring a lot of focus, Zak Penn managed to direct an exciting comedy movie. Unlike other films scripted to the end, the Grand was a different case with actors engaging in real poker games on set with no definite predetermined winner. It features fascinating characters such as Harrelson, a character recovering from addiction with many failed marriages to his name. Only a limited audience may enjoy this one, but it is worth a try.
