What Happened to Peyote in Downtown Las Vegas?

The Closure

Peyote restaurant opened its doors in 2021 after the COVID-19 pandemic. The new restaurant brought a new vibe to Fergusons Downtown, a Las Vegas motel turned shopping center. Peyote Restaurant[/caption] However, the restaurant was closed unexpectedly on Monday, April 29. The employees felt the shock of losing their jobs and patrons also lost a great food joint. Adding salt to injury was not that the restaurant was simply downsizing but was being closed forever.

Restaurant’s Ownership

Corner Bar Management and Jolene Mannina owned Peyote Restaurant. The two own other restaurants in the city, so some workers will be absorbed into the group's business. But as with the fall of any giant, there are always casualties. But what hurt most employees was how fast the closure was done. Peyote employees knew of the closure through a WhatsApp text. Surprisingly, just the night before, they had catered to a private party that had one of its owners, Ryan Doherty (his company is Corner Bar Management), in attendance, but there was no indication that the restaurant would be closed down the next day. The ownership explained that they were closing down the restaurant to evaluate a remodel of its office and storage space. They encouraged diners to consider using its other restaurants in downtown Las Vegas, namely, Park on Fremont and La Mona Rosa.
